Organization Introduction: 
The Colombo Plan is an inter-governmental organization established in 1951 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to promote regional cooperation among 27 member countries in the world, mostly spread across the Asia-Pacific region. The Colombo Plan Gender Affairs programme was established in 2014 focusing on supporting gender related issues in the region. The Colombo Plan Gender Affairs Programme (CPGAP) has been in operation in Afghanistan since 2014, providing extensive support for Afghan people affected by gender based violence and supporting them through re-integration programmes. Currently CPGAP is also collaborating with the governments of Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand on gender related programme implementation.

UN Women, also known as The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, is the United Nations entity working for the empowerment of women. UN Women became operational in January 2011. UN Women supports UN Member States as they set global standards for achieving gender equality, and works with governments and civil society to design laws, policies, programmes and services needed to ensure that the standards are effectively implemented and truly benefit women and girls worldwide. UN Women has initiatives to support women all over the world and is strongly functioning in Afghanistan as well, focusing on supporting women affected by gender based violence and supporting in economic empowerment of women.

IDLO - International Development Law Organization, is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to the promotion of the rule of law and it is the only intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law. Headquartered in Rome, Italy, IDLO works to enable governments, empower people and strengthen institutions to realize justice, peace and sustainable development. IDLO has conducted extensive work in Afghanistan on strengthening social and legal systems pertaining to Women's rights.

Describe your workshop/presentation (300-500 words): 
The Workshop will be mainly delivered in four sections;
1. A presentation on the overview of shelters and their functions in Afghanistan
2. A documentary video on shelters and their functions in Afghanistan
3. A case study presentation by an actual reintegrated survivor on the services and needs of shelters in Afghanistan highlighting her own case
4. A panel discussion on the major issues facing the future of Women's shelters in Afghanistan and possible ideas to mitigate this issues in the future.

The presentations and panel discussion will also focus on educating the audience on the current situation of Afghan Women's shelters and to make them aware of the vulnerabilities faced by these shelter operators and how they can support the future of Women's shelters in Afghanistan.
