Describe your workshop/presentation (300-500 words):
The community-oriented StoP Project serves as a complement to the existing victim protection facilities (in addition to women's shelters, women's counselling centres and victim protection facilities). With StoP, we want to develop good neighborhoods, prevent partner violence and more serious violence, or achieve nonviolent relationships. We want to change attitudes so that those affected by violence no longer have to hide out of fear and shame. With StoP, we want to empower and encourage neighbors so that they can look better and know what they can do in the event of suspected violence and how they can do positive things. We know from numerous studies, projects and experiences that people, especially neighbors, are eager to get involved and help other people. Many want to do civil courage, but many don't know exactly how? Here we would like to motivate and inform neighbors to actively stop violence.
