The Garden of Hope Foundation invites foreign students in Taiwan to attend 4th World Conference of Women Shelters from November 5-7 2019 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and a pre-conference Youth Caucus on November 4, also in Kaohsiung. The main conference will bring together 1,500 people from 120 countries to network and share ideas on how to strengthen and end violence against women.
Our goal is to bring the next generation of feminists from all over the world to 4WCWS to learn, be inspired, network, and be empowered. Priority will be given to countries that are not yet represented at 4WCWS. The special offer for foreign students includes FREE registration, access to 4WCWS meetings, conference lunches and refreshments on November 6-7, and participation in the Youth Caucus pre-conference event.
4WCWS will be a wonderful forum for you to be inspired and energized with new knowledge and innovations in social work, advocacy, empowerment of women and girls, shelter management, and policy and strategy plans.
★ What you need to know:
- Fill in the Application Form and wait for approval sent by email from the 4WCWS team.
- Approvals will be announced before the end of September.
- Approved delegates should then register for 4WCWS.
- Approved delegates will need pay a NT$1,000 deposit by wire transfer to attend, which will be refunded at the conference venue on November 7. Please prepare to show us your student ID.
- Free 4WCWS registration and access to the Youth Cacus is included in the scholarship award.
- Accommodation and transportation will NOT be covered. If you want to attend the opening recepion (gala dinner) on November 5, you will need to pay an extra NT$500.
- Access to the Study Tour program on November 8 is NOT included in this package.
- We reserve the right to modify, add to, and/or withdraw any part of the above.
