We are very happy to announce that we will have an Asia Network of Women’s Shelters Meeting at 6:30 pm on November 7 at the 4th World Conference of Women's Shelters. After the 4WCWS closing ceremony, Asian delegates are welcome to get together again before saying their goodbyes. Having soaking up information and ideas during the packed conference schedule, we can eat, drink, chat, dance and meet and network with new and old friends to refresh ourselves and regain energy for the final day of study tours and other events.

Hosted by the Asian Network of Women's Shelters and organized by the All Japan Women's Shelter Network, the event will take place at the Howard Plaza Hotel from 6:30-9:30pm. Dinner will be provided, and participants who wish to enjoy alcoholic beverages may take advantage of the pay on-site bar. 4WCWS delegates representing shelter organizations in Asia, organizations working with Asian diaspora communities outside the region, and other delegates working on non-violence or promoting legislation that is linked to shelters in Asia are welcome to take part. Space is limited, so please sign up in advance and before the deadline of October 7.

ANWS is a regional alliance of women’s shelters in Asia formed to promote cross-learning, capacity building, and advocacy in the Asian region as part of the Global Network of Women’s Shelters. The All Japan Women's Shelter Network is an alliance of NGOs in Japan formed to extend care and assistance to domestic violence survivors.
