We regret that due to lack of demand there will be no French language simultaneous interpretation service at 4WCWS. We apologize to delegates from Francophone countries, and confirm GNWS’s continuing commitment to provide an inclusive platform for all to take part, while at the same time working within the financial constraints of a not-for-profit event. The saving in costs made by removing the French language service will be used to release additional scholarships to help more people attend the conference. We ask for your understanding in the knowledge that this decision was not taken lightly, and that we will continue to provide written French translations of key information on the 4WCWS website.
On a positive note, we are happy to announce that there will be Japanese interpretation during the plenary sessions, and the possibility of Korean also becoming one of the official 4WCWS languages.
